For Years Ed and Anne Ravish have felt the tug of hearts for special children, children who are abandoned, ill and in need of medical treatment. For this reason, they have opened their home to care for and serve these special children’s needs. In 1991, Anne flew into Haiti. On that day she arrived, a military coup took over the Haitian government. Her trip of one day turned into an over thirty-day nightmare. During this time, God revealed a plan, a VISION of a home where abandoned and medically needy children would receive treatment and loving care.
This VISION became The Gabriel House.
To rescue, house, clothe, feed, educate and find the best medical care possible… while helping children reach their very highest level of independence and functioning is a challenge, a major significance of The Gabriel House Mission is the medical treatment of children who have been discarded or unwanted due to significant developmental delays, major orthopedic needs or failure to thrive syndrome. No lines are drawn regardless of religion, race and ethnicity or gender.
